The two Windgap handball teams accounted for themselves well in this year’s Feile competition which was held in Galway. The girls played in Micheal Breathnachs and the Boys in Ballinsloe. They both had games on Friday evening before the Feile festival parade. The girls played Kilkishen of Clare and the boys played Boherbue of Cork. On Saturday the girls had two more games against Williamstown of Galway and Broadford of Limerick. They drew with the Clare and Limerick teams but were beaten in the two games against the Galway team, thus knocking them out of the competition. The boys played Newport of Mayo and New Market on Fergus of Clare. They drew with the Mayo and Clare teams but were beaten by the Cork Team.  That knocked them out of the competition as well. Both teams enjoyed the competition and represented Windgap Handball Club proudly. The teams were (Girls) Deirdre Purcell, Caoimhe O’ Shea, Aine Dunne, and Margaret Purcell. (Boys)  Niall Walsh, David Doyle, James Culleton and Pat Grace.
