2011,25 Eanair GAA Handball News Update -

• 'THE GAA HANDBALL SHOW' has attracted a huge audience on the national TV station - TG4 - and enters it's final week in the build-up to a concluding double episode on Monday 31st January (from 8.30pm to 9.30pm)

To date, GAA Handball fans, and indeed spectators from all areas of Irish community, GAA and sporting life have taken great interest in the review of the 'perfect game'.

• All nomination forms and information have been distributed in relation to GAA Handball Congress 2011. Any county officials can now source this information from County Secretaries. Further updates and reminders will follow. All Club registration forms have also been distributed and all clubs are reminded that these are to be returned either via or signed by County Secretaries by Monday 31st January 2011.

• All County Committees are reminded that they must return County Convention Annual Reports/Accounts and Updated County Handball Committees by email or post by 31st January 2011 to or Críostóir Ó Corrain, Bainisteoir Náisiúnta, CLG Comhairle Liathróid Láimhe na hÉireann, Páirc an Chrócaigh, Baile Atha Chliath 3.

• Entry forms for the new-look GAA Handball All Ireland 40x20 Open Championships, sponsored by O'Neills Sports, (Mens and Ladies, SIngles & Doubles), have been distributed and are also available on the National Official Website. The deadline date should be noted on these and all players wishing to enter are reminded that their entry form must be signed/approved by their County Secretary.

• The updated GAA Handball Clár 2011, including tournaments requested to date, will be updated and available from 5th February 2011 on the GAA Handball National Website. A GAA Handball Wallplanner will also be distributed following Congress in March 2011.

• The 2012 World Handball Championships, to be hosted in Ireland, is now just 15 months away and, with a lot of work already carried out in relation to the branding of the championships, GAA Handball will now be putting in place a series of Sub-Committees in relation to the organisation of this eagerly awaited event. Final closing date for anyone wishing to put their name forward for a position on a World Championship Sub-Committee is Friday 28th January 2011.

Top Ace Magazine, which will form part of a new publications series from GAA Handball both in print and digitally, will be launched on the weekend of GAA Handball Congress on 26th March 2011. Further details of this exciting new GAA Handball Publications package will be announced following presentation at provincial councils prior to Congress.

• The 40x20 Intervarsities Championships takes place at venues including and surrounding Kingscourt from next Thursday 3rd February 2011. Entry forms are now available on the national website and details obtained by clicking on the link below.
